Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes.

  • Monitor and prepare detailed management reports for informed decision-making.

  • Optimize cost structures and ensure efficient allocation of resources.

2.Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with business objectives.

  • Act as a key advisor to the CEO/Board on financial planning, capital structure, mergers & acquisitions, and investment opportunities.

  • Provide insights and recommendations on business performance, profitability, and growth.

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting as per statutory requirements (Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, etc.).

  • Oversee audits, internal controls, and compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.

  • Liaise with auditors, banks, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders.

  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support operations and growth.

  • Develop policies for risk management, credit control, and investment decisions.

  • Lead fundraising efforts through equity, debt, or other financial instruments.

5.

  • Present financial results, budgets, and risk assessments at board meetings.

  • Ensure corporate governance best practices and compliance with statutory filings.

  • Support the board in strategic initiatives including acquisitions & restructuring.

6. Team Leadership

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and accounts team.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, ethics, and continuous improvement within the finance function.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) / MBA (Finance) from a reputed institution.

  • 12-18 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership/CFO/Finance Director role in a limited company.

  • Proven track record in financial strategy, risk management, and compliance.

  • Strong knowledge of Indian financial regulations, Companies Act, SEBI guidelines, taxation, and audit processes.

  • Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, M&A, and investor relations.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • High integrity, strategic thinking ability, and decision-making acumen.
