About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Chemical Engineer to act as a coordinator between our internal team and the EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) Consultant for obtaining Environmental Clearance (EC) for our upcoming Unsaturated Polyester Resin manufacturing expansion project at SIPCOT, Gummidipoondi. The role demands strong coordination, documentation, and regulatory follow-up skills to ensure smooth progress, timely submissions, and full compliance with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

·       Act as the primary liaison between company management and the appointed EIA consultant.

·       Ensure timely collection and sharing of technical, operational, and compliance-related data with the consultant.

·       Coordinate with technical, production, and administrative teams to provide necessary inputs (plant layout, production capacity, raw material usage, waste management practices, etc.).

·       Maintain systematic records of all communications, reports, and submissions related to the EC process.

·       Track progress of the EC application, follow up with regulatory authorities (through consultant), and highlight any bottlenecks to management.

Preferred Profile

·       M.Sc. in Chemistry or B.Tech./B.E. in Chemical Engineering.

·       Prior experience in Environmental Clearance (EC), EIA studies, or regulatory compliance in the chemical/manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.

·       Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills.

·       Ability to work independently while managing multiple stakeholders.
