Job Description

As a Cook, your main duties include: - Ensuring that all stocks are kept under optimum conditions - Ensuring that all mis-en-place is always freshly prepared and on time - Ensuring that all dishes are being prepared to the correct recipe and quantity - Ensuring that all dishes reach the hot plate or pass correctly garnished, in the correct portion and size, presented on the prescribed serving dish as per the prescribed manner - Keeping your section clean and tidy at all times - Providing the right training and guidance to junior cooks and trainees - Communicating any anticipated shortages promptly to the Sous chef or head chef - Prohibiting any horseplay in your section and ensuring fair and courteous treatment of all staff under your control - Deputising in the Sous chef's absence and taking charge of the kitchen when directed - Attending training courses and seminars as required In addition to the main duties, the company offers benefits such as health insurance, leave encashment, life insurance, paid sick time, Provident Fund, performance bonus, shift allowance, and yearly bonus.
