Chef de Partie (CDP)

Role Overview:

Chef de Partie (CDP) – Bakery

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare a variety of baked goods including breads, croissants, cakes, tarts, and cookies.
• Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
• Follow and improve recipes under guidance of Head Baker / Head Chef.
• Manage mise en place for bakery section and ensure smooth daily production.
• Oversee junior bakers and ensure hygiene & safety standards are met.
• Collaborate on new bakery menu items and seasonal specials.

Qualifications required:

• Minimum 5 years of professional bakery or pastry kitchen experience (café, hotel, or standalone bakery).
• Strong skills in baking breads, viennoiserie, pastries, and basic cake decoration.
• Understanding of bakery production planning, portion control, and food cost management.
• Knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and HACCP standards.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production timelines.
• Creativity in developing new bakery products is an advantage.
• Diploma or certification in Bakery & Confectionery (preferred, not mandatory).
