Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Calicut ,Kerala ,India for a Chef De Cuisine specializing in Asian and Japanese cuisine. The Chef De Cuisine will oversee all Asian and Japanese , including designing menus that align with tulåh’s wellness philosophies, managing food preparation, and ensuring exceptional quality and presentation. The role also involves managing kitchen staff, promoting sustainable practices, monitoring inventory, and maintaining food safety and hygiene standards. The Chef De Cuisine will collaborate with the nutrition and wellness teams to create meals that integrate traditional Japanese culinary techniques with a focus on nourishment and balance.


Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in Japanese cuisine, including knowledge of traditional techniques and the preparation of sushi, sashimi, and kaiseki-style dishes.
  • Strong leadership and team management experience, with skills to mentor and lead a diverse kitchen team effectively.
  • Proficiency in menu development and a deep understanding of integrating nutritious and sustainable ingredients into meal design.
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and inventory management to maintain high standards within the kitchen.
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence in food presentation and guest experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent certifications are preferred, with prior experience in luxury hospitality or wellness environments being an advantage.
  • Visa and logistics will be sponsored if its an expat
