Job Title: Cook / Chef – Company Canteen

Department: Canteen Operations

Employment Type: Full-time

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Cook / Chef to manage daily food preparation and kitchen operations in our company canteen. The ideal candidate should be experienced in preparing hygienic, nutritious, and timely meals for employees while maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and cook daily meals (breakfast, lunch, snacks) as per the company menu.

2. Ensure food quality, taste, and proper portion control.

3. Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and canteen area.

4. Follow food safety guidelines and company policies.

5. Plan menus in coordination with management, considering employee preferences.

6. Manage raw material usage and minimize food wastage.

7. Ensure timely food service for employees and guests.

8. Handle kitchen equipment safely and report any maintenance issues.

9. Support special food arrangements during company events or festivals.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a Cook or Chef (canteen, industrial kitchen, or bulk cooking preferred)

Knowledge of Indian cuisine (North/South/Regional – as applicable)

2. Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards

3. Ability to work independently and manage kitchen tasks efficiently

4. Good time management and teamwork skills

Preferred Experience:

1. Experience working in a corporate/industrial canteen

2. Ability to handle large-quantity food preparation
