Must Have Competencies

· Strong conceptual knowledge of US GAAP and basic US tax concepts (as per CPA coursework).

· Good understanding of financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow).

· Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.

· Good written and spoken English for coordination with US teams.

· Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, filter, sorting, basic formulas).

· Ability to quickly learn and follow SOPs, checklists, and review comments.

· Willingness to work in a fast-paced offshore environment, including extended hours during US tax season.

Responsibilities

1. US Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Record and review client transactions as per US GAAP and defined SOPs.

• Support monthly/quarterly closing, reconciliations, and basic reporting.

2. US Tax Support

• Assist seniors in preparing US individual and business tax returns.

• Collect and verify client documents, workpapers, and schedules.

3. Quality & Delivery

• Follow Textax US SOPs, checklists, and quality standards.

• Meet agreed turnaround times (TATs) and escalate issues promptly.

4. Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with team leads and US counterparts for clarifications.

• Maintain clear, simple documentation and email communication.

5. Learning & Compliance

• Participate in ongoing training on US accounting, tax, and tools.

• Follow data security, confidentiality, and IP protection guidelines.
