Job Description

Position: Centre Manager Location: Bhiwandi Timings: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM Start Date: 1st September Reporting To: Vocational Training Manager Type of Employment: Full-time Job Purpose: Responsible for the overall management and smooth functioning of the vocational training centre, including course implementation, mobilization, placements, centre upkeep, and efficient resource utilization. Qualifications & Experience: Graduate / Postgraduate (preferably in Social Sciences or related field). 2–3 years of experience in managing vocational training programs (experience in social sector preferred). Familiarity with Bhiwandi’s population and warehousing sector is desirable. Budgeted Salary: ₹35,000 – ₹40,000 per month Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day centre operations, ensuring adherence to SOPs and efficient use of resources. Ensure timely start and completion of training batches; monitor student assessments and batch progress. Support mobilisers, placement officers, and social workers in outreach and placement activities. Drive mobilization strategies to fill course seats and engage with parents/communities. Ensure student placements and follow-up on job continuation for at least one year. Manage fee collection, records, and compliance with donor/organizational requirements. Maintain centre assets and ensure readiness for reviews and audits. Prepare and submit periodic reports, case studies, and documentation as per formats. Inspire, lead, and review staff performance to ensure high-quality outcomes. Competencies & Skills: Strong organizational, project management, and team management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication in English, Hindi, and local language. Good IT proficiency (MS Office, cloud-based tools). Ability to build trust-based community relationships and networks. Detail-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated. Key Result Areas: Student placement and retention as per indicators. Accurate and timely reporting and documentation. Effective utilization of space and resources. Innovation and value addition in vocational training programs.
