Job Title: Accountant, Central Accounting, GA.

Exp. :- 2-8 yrs

Location :- Bangalore

Must have :- R2R + Sox Controls & Process + SAP + Month End Activities +Accruals + Prepaids + Basic Accounting fundamentals

Process Overview: The Central Accounting team is responsible for the preparation of Accrual entries, Prepayment and Amortization entries, Cost Allocations, Adjustment entries, performing month end close, monthly/quarterly Financial Reporting, preparing Balance Sheet Recons and managing SOX controls for all the Halliburton Centralized Functions.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities- IC Role:

a) Manage all accounting transactions.

b) Preparing financial reports.

c) Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions.

d) Journal Entry Postings.

e) Analyze and post Accruals.

f) Analyze and post re-class and allocations.

g) Ensure timely closure of books.

h) Month-end/year-end close process.

i) Preparing balance sheet reconciliations.

j) Supporting payment review & approval.

Other Responsibilities Include:

a) Ensure timely resolution of queries from business/operations.

b) Ensure process documentation is up to date.

c) Process improvement and standardization.

d) Support on Ad hoc Projects/Tasks as assigned.

Desired/Preferred Expertise:

a) Accounting Experience.

b) SAP Experience.

c) Good communication skills, written and oral.

d) Overall, Knowledge of Reconciliation.

e) Excel Knowledge.

f) Stakeholder Management.

g) Experience with general ledger functions.

h) Accuracy and attention to detail.

Basic Qualifications: Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance & Accounting. Total Years of Experience: 2+ Years.

Shift timing: Any 9 working hours in a day depending on the business needs and the regions supported.
