The role of the Centre Head is to lead the school in all administrative matters
including planning and organizing the daily operations and strategic direction
of the Maple Bear School. The Centre Head will the support the school staff
in the implementation of the local and Maple Bear curriculum while conforming
to local educational policies and regulations. The Centre Head will create a
positive and inclusive school culture that reflects Maple Bear mission and
values.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountability
* Ensure compliance with all operational tasks related to the agreement
between the Maple Bear School and the franchisee, including but not limited
to enrolment reports, insurance, orders, invoicing etc.
* Implement all strategic plans and operational tasks related to the agreement
between the school and local franchisee including financial and growth
strategies, budgets, policies, ordering, invoicing, reporting, etc.
* Comply with all Maple Bear Operational and Security policies, procedures
and directions to demonstrate a safe learning and teaching environment
* Maintain accurate student records, prepare regular reports and monthly
invoicing in the Operational system provided by Maple Bears Canadian and
local academic partners
* Prepare regular reports as required by all stakeholders including local
authorities
* Submit to Maple Bear all local and global strategic plans related to
the agreement, including business growth plans, global financial strategy,
authorizations, budgets, policies and operational procedures
* Supervise and ensure compliance with enrolment procedures, licenses and
authorizations
* Cultivate strong relationships and demonstrate effective communication
strategies with parents regarding school expectations eg. uniforms,
attendance etc. to promote compliance
* Strictly observe and comply with Maple Bear policies and procedures, local,
legislative requirements, ordinances, customs and traditions
* Demonstrate compliance with all the matters and tasks related to the
administrative relationship and operational activities with authorities and
parents
* Organize the daily operations of the school including the development of all
schedules, staff responsibilities and student activities
Academic leadership
* Understand and ensure the effective implementation of Maple Bear teaching
methodologies and academic principles
* Become well versed in the local curriculum and be able to conform to local
education policies and regulations
* Support and motivate the school academic staff in the implementation of local
and Maple Bear curriculum
* Ensure required learning resources are available in classrooms
CENTRE HEAD HIRING
* Ensure that the recommendations identified in the School Improvement Plan
are addressed and implemented in a timely manner
Communication and collaboration
* Effectively communicate the Maple Bear mission and values with all
stakeholders
* Communicate with parents about Maple Bear methodology, curriculum,
values and mission through open houses, newsletters and meetings
* Communicate with authorities and other stakeholders regarding licenses,
authorizations and local education requirements
* Collaborate and communicate with staff, suppliers, stakeholders, local and
state officials and all Maple Bear partners, including local franchisee and
MBGS
* Promote school activities through social media, newsletters etc. to promote
the brand and increase enrolment
* Support marketing strategies that promote the brand and generate new
enrolment through social media, campaigns and external providers
Staff Development
* Promote Maple Bear vision and collaboratively develop practices and
implement strategies with all staff to support the mission and vision of Maple
Bear
* Organize regular meetings with school staff to inform, discuss and review
school procedures and practices
* Develop a culture of mutual respect and support of all staff, students, parents
and community members
* Demonstrate respect and model strong ethics through actions and behaviour
* Create an atmosphere that understands and respects other cultures
* Promote and celebrate equity and diversity in the school
* Deliver a student-focused learning system in a safe, secure and stimulating
environment
* Develop and implement processes for the recruitment of staff, onboarding
and training
