Job Description

Job Title: Chef de Partie (CDP)

The Chef de Partie is responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen with precision and efficiency. This role requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage junior staff while ensuring high standards of food quality, consistency, and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee a designated kitchen section (e.g., grill, sauté, pastry, larder).
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to the restaurant’s standards and recipes.
  • Supervise and guide Commis Chefs and Demi Chefs within the section.
  • Maintain strict food hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards in accordance with kitchen policies.
  • Ensure all mise en place is completed to required levels before service.
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages or ordering needs to the Sous Chef or Head Chef.
  • Assist in menu development, recipe refinement, and testing when required.
  • Ensure efficient use of ingredients to minimize waste and control food costs.
  • Coordinate with other sections to ensure smooth, timely service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all equipment and workstations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Demi Chef in a professional kitchen.
  • Strong understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to manage time, multitask, and work under pressure during busy service periods.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Culinary training or relevant certification is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹23,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
