Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and passionate Demi Chef de Partie (Dessert) to join our culinary team. You will support the Chef de Partie in managing the pastry section, with a focus on the preparation, presentation, and execution of high-quality desserts. The ideal candidate should be creative, detail-oriented, and have a strong foundation in pastry techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and produce high-quality desserts, pastries, cakes, and baked goods according to menu specifications.
• Assist in the development of new dessert recipes and seasonal offerings.
• Ensure proper portion control, consistency, and presentation standards are met.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene standards in the pastry section at all times.
• Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering ingredients for the dessert section.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and sanitation regulations.
• Train and mentor Commis Chefs and junior staff in the pastry section.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
• Maintain accurate records of production and wastage.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a professional pastry kitchen, ideally in a hotel or fine-dining setting.
• Formal culinary or pastry education preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and plating.
• Passion for desserts and creativity in presentation.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
