Category Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Category Ownership: Take end-to-end ownership of the "Salon at Home" service category in Bangalore.
• Supply & Demand Management: Strategize and execute initiatives for effective supply (service professional) and demand (customer bookings) planning, ensuring optimal service availability and utilization.
• Quality Assurance: Implement and uphold stringent quality standards for all salon-at-home services, continuously striving for service excellence.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to ensure smooth service delivery and a superior customer experience.
• Market Analysis & Growth: Conduct in-depth market analysis, identify emerging trends, and leverage consumer insights to develop and implement growth strategies for the category.
• Process Improvement: Develop, standardize, and optimize operational processes and SOPs related to service professional onboarding, training, service execution, and customer feedback.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, technology, and product teams to launch new services, execute promotional campaigns, and enhance the overall platform experience.
• On-the-Ground Engagement: Engage directly with service professionals and customers to gather feedback, understand real-world challenges, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience: 1 to 3 years of work experience in category management, operations, or a similar role, preferably within the beauty, home services, or e-commerce industry.
• Education: Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in advanced Excel. Knowledge of SQL, Tableau, or PowerBI is a plus.
• Analytical Prowess: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Problem-Solving: A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, capable of tackling ambiguous problems in a fast-paced environment.
• Execution Focus: Demonstrated ability to execute initiatives effectively, with a "get things done" attitude and a strong focus on outcomes.
