Category Management Specialist

Role Overview: You will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategies to enhance category growth and profitability. This role will require you to analyze market trends, manage product assortments, and collaborate with various teams to ensure successful implementation of category plans. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in analyzing sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and recommend necessary actions. - Support the Category Manager in developing and managing the product assortment by conducting product reviews and making recommendations for new product introductions or discontinuations. - Help in developing pricing strategies, monitoring competitor pricing, and analyzing the effectiveness of pricing and promotional strategies to suggest improvements. - Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate contracts, secure the best terms, pricing, and promotional support, and maintain strong relationships with key partners. - Monitor inventory levels, identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory, and support demand forecasting and inventory planning efforts. - Work with the marketing team to develop and execute category-specific marketing campaigns, align marketing materials with category strategies, and plan in-store promotions and events. - Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance teams to support category initiatives, communicate category plans and updates to relevant stakeholders, and participate in cross-functional projects to drive business objectives. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. - Proven experience in category management, merchandising, or a related role. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.,
