Role Objective: Lead the commercials division for the Staples category across regions. Ensures the company achieves the revenue and margin targets in a cost-efficient manner in that commodity. Key Responsibilities: Define procurement strategy and annual operating plans for the respective Category based on the overall Business Requirement. Own end-to-end buying for the category – demand forecasting, procurement planning, cost negotiations, and inventory alignment. (incl. Private Label) Build and manage supplier networks (farmers, millers, processors, traders). Monitor market trends, pricing, and risks; build hedging or forward purchase strategies as required. Build and implement Risk mitigation strategies for the Category. Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory norms. Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Quality, SCM, and Sales. Mentor and develop the Category team.
