Job Description

Job Summary: We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Cashier to manage daily cash transactions, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely bank deposits. The cashier will also support store operations by handling billing, payment sorting, and customer queries at checkout. Key Responsibilities: Handle cash, card, UPI, and other digital transactions efficiently. Maintain accurate daily cash records and prepare bank deposit slips. Deposit daily store cash collections to the assigned bank. Reconcile sales, receipts, and payment details at day-end. Issue receipts, refunds, or change to customers as required. Keep the billing counter clean, organized, and customer-friendly. Assist in basic accounting and payment sorting. Ensure compliance with store policies for safe cash handling. Coordinate with the store manager/owner for reporting daily sales and deposits. Requirements: Proven experience as a cashier, accountant assistant, or in retail banking. Knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) systems and basic accounting. Strong attention to detail, honesty, and reliability. Good communication and customer service skills. Basic computer knowledge (Excel, billing software, UPI apps). Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Preferred Skills: Retail banking experience Bank deposit preparation Sorting & reconciling payments Cash management Time management Education & Experience: Minimum 12th pass; graduate in commerce/finance preferred. 1–3 years of cashier/accounting experience in retail, FMCG, or service industry.
