Job Description

Responsibilities:

Looking for Engine Calibration , prefrence only gasoline and cng

  • Conduct engine calibrations using MATLAB and gasoline engines.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards during emission testing.
  • Collaborate with R&D team on new product development.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute engine calibration activities for diesel, gasoline, and alternative fuel engines to achieve optimal performance, fuel efficiency, and emission compliance.
  • Develop and validate engine control strategies using tools such as INCA, ETAS, AVL, or dSPACE.
  • Conduct engine and vehicle testing for drivability, transient response, cold start, and emissions performance.
  • Coordinate with ECU software, mechanical design, and NVH teams to ensure calibration targets align with overall engine objectives.
  • Analyze data from test benches, chassis dynamometers, and field trials to refine calibrations.
  • Support OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) and emission certification activities as per BS-VI / Euro VI / Tier IV standards.
  • Manage calibration documentation, reports, and version control throughout development phases.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for field and validation issues related to engine control and performance.
  • Interface with OEMs, suppliers, and regulatory agencies for validation and homologation requirements.
  • Key Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of IC engine thermodynamics, combustion, and control systems.
  • Hands-on experience with ECU calibration tools (INCA, CANape, MDA, AVL CRETA, etc.).
  • Knowledge of emission control systems (EGR, DPF, SCR, DOC).
  • Familiarity with OBD and emission legislation (BS-VI, Euro VI, EPA).
  • Proficiency in data analysis, DoE methods, and Matlab/Simulink.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple calibration projects.
  • Educational Qualification:
  • B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience Required:
  • Manager Level: 10–15 years of experience in engine development, with proven leadership in calibration project.
