Job Description

Key Responsibilities1. Operations Management

  • Manage day-to-day café operations including opening and closing procedures
  • Ensure smooth workflow and timely service during peak hours
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely ordering of raw materials
  • Control wastage and maintain cost efficiency
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and functioning properly

2. Customer Experience

  • Deliver excellent customer service and handle customer complaints professionally
  • Ensure café ambiance, cleanliness, and hygiene standards are maintained
  • Build customer loyalty through service quality and engagement

3. Staff Management

  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise café staff
  • Monitor staff attendance, grooming, discipline, and productivity
  • Conduct regular briefings and performance evaluations
  • Motivate staff to achieve service and sales targets

4. Sales & Revenue Management

  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
  • Promote add-on sales, combos, and promotional offers
  • Analyze sales reports and implement improvement actions
  • Manage cash handling, billing accuracy, and daily sales reconciliation

5. Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards (FSSAI / HACCP)
  • Maintain SOPs for food preparation, storage, and service
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements

6. Inventory & Cost Control

  • Conduct daily and monthly stock counts
  • Minimize pilferage, wastage, and breakages
  • Maintain inventory records and vendor coordination

7. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare daily sales, stock, and manpower reports
  • Report incidents, maintenance issues, and customer feedback
  • Maintain audit and compliance records

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication and customer-handling skills
  • Basic knowledge of POS systems and MS Excel
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays

Educational Qualification

  • Graduate / Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or relevant field preferred

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in café, QSR, restaurant, or hospitality operations
  • Minimum 1–2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
