CAD/CAM Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CAD/CAM Engineer to join our design and manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and CNC programs to support manufacturing operations. The role involves close coordination with design, production, and quality teams to ensure precision, efficiency, and manufacturability of parts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and modify 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, NX, or similar).
• Generate and optimize CNC programs for machining operations using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, Delcam, etc.).
• Ensure toolpath optimization for machining efficiency, surface finish, and material utilization.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings with proper tolerances, GD&T, and BOMs.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost effective.
• Support process improvement initiatives related to design, tooling, and machining.
• Assist in fixture design and development for machining operations.
• Conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) reviews.
• Collaborate with quality and production teams to resolve technical issues during manufacturing.
• Maintain documentation and revision control of all CAD/CAM data.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in CAD/CAM technologies and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or related engineering field.
• 2–5 years of experience in CAD/CAM design and programming (freshers with strong CAD/CAM skills may also be considered).
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) and CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, etc.).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly machining, tool paths, and CNC operations.
• Knowledge of materials, tolerances, and surface finishing processes.
• Familiarity with CNC machines (lathe, milling, etc.) and post-processing for G-code generation.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with production and quality departments.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹38,115.23 per month
