Role Overview
McAfee Technology Pathfinding Group, a part of the Office of the CTO, is chartered to build new products and services for McAfee Business. Anchored in design thinking, the center brings to life novel consumer usages with deep technological foundations. The new products could be in core security and privacy protection, or adjacent areas such as data protection, as well as those that open new product portfolio opportunities for McAfee across PC, Web, Mobile, Smart Home, Wearable, IOT devices & apps.This is a Hybrid position based in Bangalore. You must be within a commutable distance from the location. You will be required to be onsite on an as-needed basis; when not working onsite, you will work remotely from your home location.
About The Role
- Research into new technologies, usage trends, platforms, security landscape and solutions. Identify new technology and solution opportunities that have the potential to create new revenue streams for McAfee in the rapidly changing app landscape of web, mobile devices, and PCs.
- Research, design and development of next generation software to protect users’ digital interactions across Web, mobile, PCs, wearable, Home Network. Design and develop new solutions for emerging threats in security, privacy, identity, and scam detection/prevention.
- Leverage cutting edge technologies like AI/ML, GenAI, Cloud, Big Data to create elegant solutions to everyday user problems in area of cyber security, identity, privacy, data protection, online security.
- Assess technical feasibility by building rapid PoCs, find technological solutions for gaps, and create strategic IP as necessary.
- Architect solutions from scratch, extracting essence of user pain points and navigating the opportunity space.
About You
- 5 to 7 years of experience in software development and/or Research in the areas of application development in one Cloud/ Mobile/ Browser/ Web/ PC/ Mac with deep focus on cyber security, usability, performance, and integration.
- Ability to conduct research into security and privacy threats in the context of emerging consumer trends.
- Deep skills in one or more of C/C++/Golang, Python, HTML5/JS/CSS
- Demonstrated expertise in applying data analytics and Machine Learning techniques to solve user/business problems. Proven experience of using data and analytics driven development with world class user experience.
- Deep understanding of OS architecture and internals, web architecture, networking internals in one or more of Windows/Linux/Android/iOS is plus.
- Experience with Neural Networks, machine learning, deep learning, GenAI, prompt engineering, Transformer architecture, training and finetuning and quantization of models. and NLP tools and frameworks will be a big plus.
