We are looking for skilled C++ Developers with mandatory experience in Metro AFC (Automatic Fare Collection)systems. If you’ve worked on AFC subsystems like Gates, TVMs, Validators, or Back-Office systems—this role is made for you.
Role Overview
As part of the Mobility Business Unit, you’ll develop and maintain AFC software modules and collaborate with hardware, networking, and operations teams to deliver reliable, high-performance metro solutions.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Develop & enhance AFC software using C++11/14/17
✔ Work on device communication with Gates, TVM, TOM, Validators, PDS, PAD, Station Servers✔ Integrate AFC with central back-office systems (Clearing House, HCMS, Revenue Systems)✔ Troubleshoot software issues in station devices & field AFC systems✔ Participate in requirement analysis, design, coding, testing & deployment✔ Build communication protocols (TCP/IP, Serial, REST API, SOAP, XML/JSON)✔ Ensure performance & compliance with metro system standards✔ Prepare technical documentation & support device-level testing
Must-Have Skills
Strong in C/C++, OOPS, STL, Multithreading, IPC
Metro AFC domain experience (mandatory)
Experience with device protocols, middleware, embedded systemsLinux-based development & build toolsNetworking concepts: TCP/IP, SFTP, sockets
Good to Have: PostgreSQL/MySQL, message queues, microservices.
