Planys Technologies is an IIT Madras incubated start-up company that provides immersed robotic inspection and survey solutions using indigenously manufactured submersible remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROV) and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUV). Founders of the company are alumni and faculty from IIT Madras.

Planys Technologies aims to cover the whole breadth of automated inspection solutions, starting from customized design and fabrication of robotic platforms to integrated sensing and diagnostics. Planys' technology spans under the domain of marine robotics, combining various inspection techniques and post-inspection analysis tools.

Profile background

We are pioneering the next generation of state-of-the-art marine robotic systems that serve both civil and defence sectors. From autonomous underwater vehicles to real-time sonar processing platforms; our work pushes the boundaries of what's possible beneath the surface. We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a strong foundation in C/ C++ (not Python, not web-frameworks) to join our growing engineering team.

> Develop high-performance, low-latency software for embedded and distributed systems

> Contribute to mission-critical applications including navigation, autonomy, and signal processing

> Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experts in robotics, hardware, and underwater vision

Responsibilities

• Writing clean, high-quality, and highly maintainable code
• Develop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements
• Coordinate cross-functionally to insure project meets business objectives and compliance standards
• Support test and deployment of new products and features
• Participate in design, development, and testing with the underwater robots in the field - controlled waters and real-world conditions.
• Participate in code reviews

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field)
• 3 years minimum of relevant work experience
• Experience in developing end-to-end applications with C++
• Experience with data structures, object orientated programming, parallel processing and inter process communication
• Good understanding of Bash, OS, and networking
