Buying Manager - Elastomers

As an End-to-End Supply Manager for the respective category of materials, your role involves managing the supply chain within targeted cost, quality, and time parameters. You will also participate in category management activities directed by the Procurement Lead. Key Responsibilities: - Formulate the Procurement Strategy for the respective category. - Track supply market dynamics and global trends in the category of Direct items. - Conduct ongoing supply market analysis and develop detailed profiles for all materials under your control. - Provide inputs for the Procurement Strategy, including vendors, pricing, contractual relationships, lead time, and inventory levels. You will guide Buyers/Senior Buyers in category management activities such as portfolio analysis, cost estimates, spend optimization, exploring alternative sources, and standardizing contract templates. Your role also involves providing inputs for Annual Procurement Planning & Budgeting, conducting requirement planning, pricing inputs, budget reviews, and analyzing spend vs budget regularly. Additionally, you will undertake activities for sourcing events, vendor identification, negotiation, and vendor selection to ensure timely delivery of procured items and address any delivery issues. Monitoring procurement dashboards, managing vendor relationships, utilizing technology for efficiency, and liaising between procurement and other departments are also part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will focus on people development by building and developing a team with experience in procurement, fostering commercial intelligence, motivating analysts, and monitoring their performance.
