Buyer - Bought Out

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Procurement of Bought out Items

- Procure various types of bought out items like: Burners, Pumps, Fans, Gas Trains, Valves, Castings etc.

- Ensure timely availability of materials to support invoicing and operations.

2. Costing and Documentation

- Perform zero-based costing and prepare price comparison sheets.

- Maintain complete documentation of each purchase order.

- Keep records of received quotations, negotiations, and approvals for transparency.

- Negotiate terms and pricing to achieve cost-effective procurement.

- Finalize purchase orders with selected and approved vendors.

3. Cross-Department Coordination

- Collaborate with cross functional teams.

- Ensure consistent material flow to avoid delays or disruptions at site and commissioning.

- Maintain effective communication across departments for smooth procurement operations.

4. Vendor Management and Follow-ups

- Conduct regular visits to vendors, especially for tracking critical supplies.

- Maintain positive vendor relationships and follow up on pending deliveries.

- Evaluate vendor performance and address issues proactively.

5. Compliance and Specification Adherence

- Ensure all procurement activities meet applicable codes, specifications, drawings, and vendor lists.

- Follow requirements outlined in the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).

- Maintain strict adherence to engineering and quality standards.

- Maintain transparency and Integrity throughout the process and follow transparent and ethical business practices.

- Ensure adherence to order schedules and internal timelines.

- Maintain discipline in tracking and processing purchase orders.

- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, promote a safe work environment, and proactively identify and mitigate potential hazards in line with Thermaxs safety standards.
