About the Role

Business Intelligence Analyst

DevOps / Cloud monitoring background

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize dashboards using

  New Relic One (NRQL, NerdGraph, custom visualizations)

  .
• Integrate New Relic with

  microservices, APIs, databases, queues, and cloud infrastructure

  (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Define

  SLIs, SLOs, and intelligent alerting policies

  for proactive monitoring.
• Collaborate with SREs, DevOps, and Application teams to close telemetry gaps and improve observability coverage (APM, Infra, Logs, Browser, Synthetics).
• Create

  custom NRQL queries

  and leverage programmable New Relic solutions for tailored use cases.
• Document dashboards, alerts, and instrumentation procedures for internal knowledge sharing.
• Build

  Power BI reports and dashboards

  as needed to support business insights.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4–5 years of

  monitoring & observability experience

  with New Relic.
• Proficiency in

  NRQL, dashboard widgets, custom events, and metric visualization

  .
• Integration experience with applications built in

  Java, .NET, Python, Node.js

  .
• Familiarity with

  AWS, Azure, or GCP telemetry ingestion setups

  .
• Strong understanding of

  logs, metrics, traces, and observability best practices

  .
• Hands-on with

  alerting strategies

  (incident routing, thresholds, baselines).
• Basic scripting/automation with

  Python, Shell, or Terraform

  .

Nice to Have

• Experience with

  OpenTelemetry

  or custom instrumentation.
• Exposure to other observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus).
• CI/CD pipeline integration for observability.
• Performance benchmarking and capacity planning.
