Job Description

Job Summary

The candidate will be responsible for managing and driving sales through Government E-Marketplace (GeM) and E-Procurement portals by participating in bids and tenders, maintaining product listings, ensuring timely submission of required documentation, and maintaining communication with government departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive business opportunities through Government E-Marketplace (GeM) and other E-Procurement portals
  • Update and manage product/service catalogues on GeM
  • Handle the addition, deletion, or updating of product specifications and pricing
  • Prepare tender documents as per specified formats and ensure timely submission
  • Manage online and offline tender submissions, including Bunch Bid, Reverse Bid, Custom Bid, and Normal Bid
  • Coordinate with government officials regarding bid progress and documentation
  • Respond to a high volume of enquiries floated on GeM
  • Act as the primary contact for all government agency personnel and maintain updated contact lists
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with relevant government departments and authorities
  • Resolve client queries related to GeM portal operations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve understanding of tender processes and business strategies
  • Coordinate with OEMs and represent the organization for authorizations and approvals
  • Work closely with the management team to assess and pursue relevant opportunities
  • Maintain accurate MIS reports and tender documentation on a daily basis
  • Issue authorization letters and manage product approvals for partners
  • Track and report project execution status daily to the HOD
  • Submit business proposals in a professional format and within specified timelines

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and email communication
  • Strong knowledge of GeM portal and Government tender procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Passion for business development and government sales
