Business Development Sales

As an Assistant Director in the Rating Industry, your primary responsibility will be to originate rating business for mid/large corporate clients in a designated region. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and fostering strong relationships with both new and existing clients. Identifying unrated clients and assisting them in transitioning to rated status for fundraising benefits will be a key aspect of your role. Achieving sales targets based on mandates and executed cases is essential for success in this position. Your duties will also include ensuring operational efficiency, managing sales MIS, and updating CRM systems regularly. Handling client challenges and situation management, especially in cases of information unavailability, will be part of your daily tasks. Developing a comprehensive business plan with revenue targets, product mix, and margin objectives is crucial for strategic growth. Furthermore, you will be responsible for organizing and attending knowledge-sharing events with corporate clients and financial institutions. Staying updated on industry trends, financial measurements, and competitor activities is paramount. Meeting quarterly and annual revenue targets will be a key performance indicator for this role. To excel in this position, you must possess strong communication (oral & written), interpersonal, and presentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential. The ability to prepare MIS, reports, and presentations efficiently, along with working under tight deadlines, is crucial. Previous experience in sales, client onboarding, and relationship management is required for this role. A good understanding of debt markets and credit rating processes is essential. Knowledge of rating/grading products for equity and debt capital markets, as well as strong conceptual clarity in financial products like Corporate Finance Ratings, IPO Grading, and Bank Loan Ratings, will be beneficial. The ideal candidate for this position should have a Graduation/Post Graduation degree.
