Role Overview

The Field Sales Executive will be responsible for driving on-ground sales, expanding retail presence, and strengthening distributor relationships in the Bengaluru market. This is a hands-on sales role ideal for someone with strong FMCG field expertise who knows how to build store-level visibility, close orders, and ensure consistent product movement.You will be the direct face of Num Ruchi introducing our authentic South Indian snacks to retailers, ensuring product availability, and driving sell-in & sell-out across your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

Retail & Market Development

  • Visit retail outlets, supermarkets, and snack stores daily to promote and sell Num Ruchi products.
  • Ensure product placement, visibility, and availability across all assigned outlets.
  • Educate retailers on product range, USPs, margins, and offers.
  • Regularly monitor competitor products, schemes, and pricing.

Distributor Management

  • Identify, onboard, and manage distributors in designated zones.
  • Negotiate margins, commercial terms, and order quantities.
  • Ensure distributors maintain adequate stock and deliver on time.
  • Coordinate with distributors for market coverage and route plans.

Sales Target Achievement

  • Achieve monthly sales targets through consistent field visits and order generation.
  • Execute promotions, schemes, and campaigns to drive sales.
  • Track sell-in and sell-out data and ensure repeat orders.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Provide daily sales reports, beat plans, and stock updates to management.
  • Collect retailer and consumer feedback to support product improvement.
  • Identify new business opportunities in emerging neighborhoods and store chains.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing and potential retail partners.
  • Handle store-level issues, complaints, or product replacement smoothly.
  • Conduct product demos, sampling activities, and awareness drives when needed.

Requirements

  • 35 years of experience in FMCG Field Sales (snacks, food, beverage preferred).
  • Proven ability to manage retail sales, distributor networks, and route coverage.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Good understanding of Bengaluru's retail landscape.
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable traveling daily within the city.
  • Basic reporting skills (WhatsApp, Excel, daily updates).
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with internal teams.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred (not mandatory for strong FMCG experience).
