Job Description

As a Business Development Manager in the Division of Formulation, your role involves promoting and selling Branded Formulations (Pharmaceuticals) to Medical Super Specialists in various specialties such as Nephrology, Kidney Transplant Surgery, Liver Transplant Surgery, Hepatology, Rheumatology, and Clinical Practice Physicians at different Healthcare facilities. Your responsibilities include identifying and shortlisting potential prescribers for the products in your portfolio, conducting in-clinic presentations using product brochures and other knowledge-sharing materials, handling queries, and persuading healthcare professionals to prescribe the company's brands relevant to their clinical specialty. To excel in this sales-focused role, you should possess strong communication skills, a friendly personality to build rapport with customers, persuasive abilities, and a proactive attitude to make a quick impact on customers. Ideally, you should have previous experience in a similar role within the therapeutic segment mentioned. However, candidates from other specialties can also be considered if they demonstrate adaptability and a fast learning curve to adjust to the super-specialty segment. Organizing CMEs and camps to assist customers in providing better patient care is also part of your responsibilities. In terms of educational qualifications, a bachelor's degree, preferably in Pharmacy or Science, is required. Candidates with a graduation in other disciplines will be considered if they have relevant experience and the ability to adapt to the super-specialty segment. Successful applicants will undergo technical and on-the-job training before entering the market. This role involves interacting with prospective and existing clients at their convenient times, along with extensive travel to local headquarters, upcountry, and outstation towns. Therefore, physical and mental preparedness for travel is essential. Some important tasks to accomplish in this role include developing relationships with customers, creating sales reports, discussing product offerings with clients, increasing brand visibility and usage, nurturing the supply chain to meet patient and doctor needs, being target-oriented to achieve set goals, and demonstrating a good learning ability to adapt to new approaches and situations.
