We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will work remotely from India during US business hours. The candidate will have a strong background in retail or eCommerce, proven experience selling SaaS subscription packages, and prior experience selling to clients in the US market.As a BDA, you will play a critical role in driving new client acquisition efforts, engaging prospects through emails, cold calls, and social media outreach, and nurturing inbound leads from the marketing team. The role requires exceptional relationship-building skills, the ability to set up client meetings, and close deals in a fast-paced environment.The candidate should be willing to travel to the US for conferences, client meetings, and industry events as needed.If you are a self-starter with a passion for sales, familiar with the retail/eCommerce landscape, and ready to drive results in the SaaS space, this is a fantastic opportunity to work in an international market and build relationships with leading brands in the US.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities through email outreach, cold calling, networking, social media, and event participation.
- Research accounts, identify key decision-makers, and generate interest in our products and services.
- Conduct discovery calls, presentations, and product demos for potential US-based clients.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to follow up on inbound leads and nurture prospects through the sales funnel.
- Negotiate and close deals, with a focus on SaaS subscription packages.
- Upsell and cross-sell additional services to existing clients to maximize account value.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships, particularly in the retail/eCommerce sector.
- Travel to the US to attend conferences, trade shows, and client meetings as needed.
- Work closely with the internal team to develop targeted campaigns that drive lead generation and client engagement.
- Utilize CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho) to track all activities, manage leads, and maintain detailed records.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of sales experience, with a minimum of 2 years in the retail or eCommerce sector.
- Proven track record of selling SaaS solutions to businesses and achieving sales targets.
- Prior experience selling to clients in the US market is mandatory.
- Knowledge of the retail/eCommerce industry and a strong understanding of how marketplaces like Walmart and Amazon operate.
- Familiarity with digital marketing, SEO, and content management services is highly preferred.
- Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce or Zoho is essential.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify key decision-makers within organizations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver compelling presentations.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Must be willing to work during US business hours to effectively engage with US-based clients.
- Must be willing to travel to the US for conferences, events, and client meetings as needed.
