Business Development Manager - Retail Leasing

Role Overview: You will be responsible for driving business development initiatives for retail leasing across malls, high-street developments, and commercial complexes. Your role will involve identifying prospective brands, managing end-to-end leasing processes, and ensuring optimum occupancy levels in line with the organization's strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Identify and target national, regional, and international retailers for leasing opportunities. - Develop and maintain strong business relationships with retailers, franchisees, and brokers/consultants. - Present leasing proposals, negotiate commercials, and close transactions within defined timelines. - Conduct market research to track retail trends, competitor activities, and upcoming brand entries. - Contribute to tenant mix planning and positioning strategy for projects. - Coordinate with internal teams (legal, operations, design, and marketing) for smooth execution of lease agreements and store handovers. - Monitor and maintain tenant relationships to drive renewals, expansions, and reduce vacancies. - Deliver on defined leasing and revenue targets, and provide regular MIS/reports on business performance. Qualifications & Experience: - MBA / Graduate in Business Administration, Marketing, or Real Estate Management. - 1-2 years of relevant experience in retail leasing / commercial real estate. - Experience with mall developers, IPCs, or real estate developers preferred. - Established network of retail brand contacts is desirable.
