About the Role:

Business Development Manager (Music & A&R)

You will play a pivotal role in identifying independent and upcoming artists, music producers, and songwriters, establishing rapport with them, and exploring content opportunities that align with YouTube monetization and audience strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and connect with emerging and established music artists, composers, and producers across genres.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with independent artists, creators, and local music communities.
• Source original songs, demos, or unreleased material that can be developed, licensed, or acquired.
• Assess the creative and commercial potential of songs and artists for digital platforms.
• Work closely with internal A&R and content teams to match songs/artists with the right strategic opportunities.
• Maintain an active pipeline of music leads and update regularly on artist interactions, pitches, and follow-ups.
• Work closely with internal onboarding, legal, and content teams for smooth partner integration and compliance.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong passion for music, deep knowledge of the Indian music ecosystem (especially indie/regional scenes).
• Proven experience in artist management, A&R, music BD, and content scouting.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport, trust, and long-term relationships.
• Ability to evaluate music creatively and commercially.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (regional language proficiency is a bonus).
• The existing network of music talent (artists, producers, managers) across Andhra & Telangana is a plus.
• Experience in licensing/rights management or song acquisition is an added advantage.
