Job Description

As a Business Development Lead in the Retail Advisory sector based in Mumbai, your main responsibilities will include: - Leading active Business Development initiatives with clients in Mumbai, Maharashtra, and Gujarat from a Retail Advisory perspective. - Pitching for Retail and Retail Asset-led Assignments like Feasibility Studies, Best-Use, Highest-Use Studies, and Mixed-Use Feasibility Studies. - Assessing client requirements, initiating and maintaining client interactions, providing pricing inputs, and participating in proposal discussions and site inspections as required. - Leveraging existing industry experience and network to generate leads from landowners, PE Funds, Real Estate Developers, and investors. - Working closely with the Retail Research Data Management team to ensure data points for the Western region and major Retail markets are captured and updated regularly. - Collaborating with the Head of Retail and other Advisory/Transactions vertical to pitch for new Retail Assignments. - Engaging in a client-facing role while guiding the Retail Consulting team in executing assignment delivery. - Visiting major cities in Maharashtra and Gujarat with senior leadership to pitch for new businesses and maintain client relationships. - Working with a global brand like JLL and collaborating with JLL's global teams to support cross-border initiatives. The required skill sets for this role include: - A consultative and strategic mindset with exposure to the Retail industry. - Understanding of Retail Asset classes on the Supply Side, including various Retail formats and ecosystems. - Familiarity with Retail segments on the Demand Side such as Fashion, Apparel, F&B, Entertainment, Jewellery, etc. - Exposure and understanding of global retail markets would be beneficial. - Knowledge of industries beyond retail like Technology, Automobiles, Media, and Entertainment is advantageous. - Consulting and Data Analysis skills with a strong industry network for Business Development. - Execution skills including Report writing, Market surveys, financial modeling, and presentations. - Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Requirements for this role: - 15-18 years of experience in Real Estate Consulting. - Must have a research-oriented mindset and constantly analyze latest developments and best practices. - Educational background in Architecture, Urban Planning, or Urban Design. - Experience in Management Consulting with leading/boutique consulting firms or Big 4 is a plus. - Excellent Communication, Interpersonal skills, strong analytical, negotiation, and financial skills.,
