About the Position: Strand is currently looking for a Business Development Executive to join our team in Cochin, Mangalore, and Visakhapatnam. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in defining and implementing the go-to-market strategy for the region to meet the set sales targets. Key responsibilities include establishing strategic partnerships with healthcare institutions, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and ensuring ethical operations with a primary focus on patient well-being. Job Description: The primary responsibilities of the Business Development Executive include: - Meeting monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets within the designated geographical region. - Identifying market potential, prioritizing opportunities, and executing the go-to-market plan. - Monitoring and tracking progress of opportunities in the pipeline to meet fulfillment targets. - Building strong relationships with senior Clinicians and Key Opinion Leaders in core areas. - Establishing MOUs and fostering business engagement with key healthcare customers by understanding their challenges and delivering effective solutions. - Engaging with professional society stakeholders within the geographical area. - Planning and executing regional and local marketing events in collaboration with the Marketing team. - Staying updated on advancements in Next Generation Sequencing and standards of care in Prenatal and pediatric genetics. - Ensuring accountability for each sample/case from order to reporting. - Acting as the primary customer contact in the region and resolving any issues that may arise. Job Requirements and Required Skills: The ideal candidate should possess: - A strong understanding of the genetic testing landscape. - An academic degree in Science, particularly in Microbiology, Applied Genetics, Genomics Pharma, or Biotechnology would be advantageous. - Willingness to travel up to 70% of the work time. - Proficiency in written and verbal communication in English; fluency in the local language is preferred.
