Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and generate leads for IT staff augmentation projects through various channels (LinkedIn, Upwork, job portals, client networks, cold outreach, etc.)
  • Manage and optimize Upwork bidding activities: search for relevant projects, craft compelling proposals, and respond to client inquiries promptly
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with potential and existing clients to ensure continued business and identify new opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams to understand project requirements and formulate solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Negotiate and close agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms while adhering to organizational objectives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of pipeline, bids submitted, and activities in CRM tools.
  • Analyze market trends, competition, and industry developments to refine strategies and grow company presence.
  • Represent the company during client meetings, presentations, and industry events, both online and offline.
  • Achieve set targets for lead generation, conversion rates, and revenue.

Required Skills

  • 2+ years experience as a BDE or similar role in IT staff augmentation or IT services sales.
  • Proven experience with Upwork bidding, proposal writing, and remote client engagement.
  • Strong expertise in lead generation strategies and converting them into business opportunities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills; ability to present and negotiate confidently.
  • Tech-savvy with good understanding of IT services, project resource models, and Agile delivery.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, and skilled in relationship building and consultative sales.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM platforms, and prospecting tools.
  • Understanding of contract staffing and IT recruitment process.
  • Previous track record of achieving or exceeding business development targets.
