Job Description

Role Overview

The Business Development Executive (BDE) will be responsible for interacting with prospective learners, understanding their career aspirations, and guiding them toward the right training programs. This role involves daily communication with leads, conducting counselling calls, and contributing directly to enrollment targets.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Handling & Counselling

  • Contact inbound and outbound leads via phone, WhatsApp, and email.
  • Conduct basic counselling to understand student needs and recommend appropriate programs.
  • Schedule follow-up calls and maintain strong communication until conversion.
  • Maintain all lead information accurately in the CRM (Zoho preferred).

Sales Execution

  • Work toward weekly and monthly enrollment targets.
  • Assist the BDM/Senior BDM in demos, counselling sessions, and closures.
  • Provide detailed feedback on lead quality and common objections.

Customer Interaction

  • Build rapport with learners and provide clear information about courses, pricing, and processes.
  • Handle queries promptly and ensure a smooth experience through the sales funnel.
  • Coordinate with operations for onboarding newly enrolled students.

Process & Reporting

  • Update CRM regularly with notes, stages, and follow-through actions.
  • Share daily and weekly sales activity reports.
  • Follow the company's structured sales scripts and workflow.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 12 years of experience in EdTech or telesales

    (preferably B2C).
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Confidence in calling and engaging with students and parents.
  • Ability to handle objections and maintain high follow-up discipline.
  • Basic understanding of the EdTech landscape and student decision-making behaviour.
  • Experience with CRM tools (Zoho is an advantage).
