Job Description

The BDE for API sales focuses on selling APIs—these could be in sectors like fintech, healthcare, logistics, communications, etc.—to developers, product teams, startups, and enterprises who want to integrate API functionality into their products. 🔹 Core ResponsibilitiesMarket Research & Lead Generation Identify target industries (e.g., finance, retail, SaaS, healthcare). Research prospects that rely on APIs or data integrations. Qualify leads through outreach (email, LinkedIn, events, etc.). Sales & Outreach Present technical API products to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Craft and deliver customized pitches that align with customer use cases. Manage the full sales cycle (demo, proposal, negotiation, close). Relationship Management Build long-term relationships with developers, product managers, and CTOs. Upsell or cross-sell new API features or additional products. Collaboration with Technical Teams Work closely with product/engineering to understand API features. Provide feedback from clients to help improve APIs or documentation. Reporting & KPIs Maintain CRM with up-to-date sales pipeline information. Track KPIs: conversions, MRR growth, customer acquisition cost (CAC), etc.
