Job Summary:

Business Development Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Generation & Client Outreach

• Identify potential clients from electronics, electrical, machinery, furniture, and home appliance industries
  
• Build a database and develop connections through digital platforms, exhibitions, and networking
  

• Consultative Sales

• Explain BIS certification processes (CRS, ISI, FMCS, Scheme X), QCO requirements, EPR rules, and global compliance schemes
  
• Understand technical and regulatory needs of clients and offer tailored compliance solutions
  

• Proposal & Closing

• Draft proposals, pricing models, and business presentations
  
• Follow up to convert leads into long-term clients
  

• Client Relationship Management

• Manage client satisfaction from initial contact to certification completion
  
• Maintain long-term relationships and upsell additional services
  

• Market Research & Updates

• Stay informed of government updates (QCOs, standards, BIS circulars)
  
• Provide insights to leadership on emerging opportunities
  

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Law, or related field
  
• 2–6 years of business development experience, ideally in certification, compliance, or B2B services
  
• Knowledge of BIS, WPC, EPR, DPIIT, CE marking, ISO/IEC/IS standards is highly preferred
  
• Fluent communication and presentation skills
  
• Self-starter with a hunger to learn and grow in a startup ecosystem
