Job Description

Position Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Head of Business Development with strong domain knowledge in the plastics industry (e.g., polymer resins, packaging, engineering plastics, recycling, or plastic processing). The role involves developing and executing strategies to drive growth, expand market presence, and establish long-term partnerships in domestic markets.

Primary Responsibilities

 Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with company goals.

 Identify new markets, applications, and product opportunities within the plastics sector.

 Analyze industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities.

Build and nurture relationships with key customers, OEMs, suppliers, and channel partners.

Drive expansion into new geographies and market segments (e.g., automotive, FMCG, packaging, construction).

Represent the company at trade shows, industry forums, and networking events.

 Lead the sales team to achieve revenue targets and profitability goals.

 Collaborate with product and technical teams to develop customer-centric solutions.

 Negotiate large-scale contracts, pricing agreements, and strategic alliances.

Work with R&D and manufacturing teams to introduce innovative plastic materials or products.

Support the launch of sustainable and recyclable plastic solutions in line with global trends.

Mentor and lead a team of sales, marketing, and technical staff.

 Drive cross-functional collaboration between business units and departments.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

Qualification

Plastics Engineering, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering

Experience

20+ years

In-depth knowledge of plastic materials (e.g., PP, PE, PET, PVC, engineering plastics), processing methods, and applications.

Proven track record of expanding market share and driving revenue growth.

Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Global exposure and experience with B2B sales or export markets is desirable.

Familiarity with sustainability practices and circular economy in plastics is a strong advantage.

      Supports revenue target achievement and  ensures timely collection          

      of sales-related payments in coordination with the finance and sales        teams.

       Leads and supports marketing and promotional activities to enhance             product visibility and drive business growth.
