Job Description

As a Business Analyst/Functional Consultant in the insurance industry, you will play a crucial role in gathering requirements, documenting business processes, and driving automation and process improvement initiatives. Your key responsibilities will include: - Leading requirements gathering sessions with clients using various techniques such as workshops, interviews, and prototyping. - Documenting current and future business processes to identify opportunities for automation. - Collaborating with stakeholders to prioritize automation projects based on ROI and feasibility. - Creating high-quality functional documents, business cases, and case studies to support project initiatives. - Translating business requirements into user stories, use cases, and functional specifications for development teams. - Engaging closely with developers, QA teams, and clients to ensure successful project delivery. - Supporting presales activities including RFP responses, solution demos, and stakeholder engagements. - Facilitating program planning, stand-ups, and reviews to maintain alignment between business and technical teams. - Acting as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for client communications and delivery execution. In addition to the responsibilities, you are required to have: - Minimum 7+ years of experience with at least 5 years as a Business Analyst/Functional Consultant in the insurance industry. - Strong domain expertise in Life, Health, Property & Casualty insurance products and operational workflows. - Familiarity with insurance laws, regulations, and compliance practices. - Practical experience with insurance-specific platforms like Guidewire and Duck Creek. - Ability to develop content for RFPs, conduct presales support, and deliver presentations across stakeholders. - Awareness of technologies impacting the insurance sector such as AI, RPA, Blockchain, and IoT. - Experience in data analysis, UAT, product documentation, and process mapping. Preferred Certifications: - AINS, LOMA, CPCU - Six Sigma Green/Black Belt (a plus) Your primary skills and attributes should include: - Strong consultative and facilitation skills with excellent communication abilities. - Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to identify efficient solutions. - Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and influence stakeholders at all levels. - Customer-centric mindset with a commitment to delivering value in each iteration. - Blend of business acumen and technical understanding for successful solution design. - Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.,
