BU Sourcing Head

Job purpose:

Responsible for purchase of goods and materials to ensure operational needs of business unit are met while driving cost, quality and delivery optimization.

Strategy and Value Creation:

1.Formulate end-to-end strategy for the BU based on sourcing requirements and projected targets (sourcing for common products to be coordinated through Commodities/SSC BU).

2.Identify better opportunities for procurement by looking for new suppliers and building the supplier base in order to optimize and improve the quality of material being purchased.

Operations and Policies:

1.Develop and implement policies, procedures, systems, structures and framework for all sourcing related requirements in line with BU goals.

2.Periodically check for consumption and conduct analysis of respective category in coordination with operations head, to streamline procurement processes.

3.Oversee adherence of purchase processes, and manage coordination with JVs to meet souring requirements.

4.Monitor and build supplier capability by conducting Supplier Quality Audits in coordination with Business Excellence function.

5.Build supplier reliability mechanisms to ensure business continuity and zero disruptions to avoid delays on customer timelines.

Stakeholder Management:

1.Identify and maintain relations with key vendors to meet local BU requirements, lead contract negotiations to receive best pricing and establish collaborative relationship.

2.Work closely with BU heads and/or Commodities/SSC BU (for common items procurement) to explore localization aspect in case of business expansion plans.

Performance Analysis:

1.Establish KPIs and metrics to evaluate the benefit and performance of all procurement activity and lead improvement planning and implementation in consultation with key stakeholders.

2.Assess and analyze suppliers based on parameters of QCDDM (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Development and management), drive cost and processes optimization.
