As a Manager will lead teams of Analysts, Seniors and Assistant Managers and is responsible for client service delivery for US Individual Clients. The primary responsibility includes but not limited to engagement management, developing client relationships and assist in managing the team by developing and coaching team members as well as ensuring that resources are deployed effectively
Your key responsibilities
- Demonstrate a very high level of proficiency in tax technical knowledge relevant to U.S. individual, trust and partnership returns; demonstrate an understanding of more complex technical issues
- Able to sign returns of all type and complexities
- Establish and maintain long-term relationships with the clients and internal colleagues
- Explore opportunities to bring more work to the GDS and to EY by consistently providing high quality work
- Supervise day to day operations and engagement milestones
- Demonstrate leadership skills in developing the highest performing teams
- Develop engagement and financial management skills by managing own and/or other s impact on project economics, including controlling costs, monitoring budget to actual differences
- Contribute process improvement ideas leading to higher quality service delivery to the client or greater efficiency in the compliance process
- Identify opportunities to leverage information and resources across assignments and teams
- Cross-sell extended services to clients
- Represent the sub-service line practice to external audiences
- Develop, mentor and supervise Analysts, Advanced Analysts, Seniors, and Assistant Managers
- Demonstrate leadership and executive presence
- Communicate progress and project status to all stakeholders
- Knowledge of the firm policies related to independence, confidentiality and privacy, client acceptance and engagement letters, tax return preparer guidelines and knowledge-sharing
- Adhere to practice protocol and other internal processes consistently

Ideally, you ll also have
- Effective communicate skills by being articulate, thoughtful and adapting communications to target audiences; interacting effectively in person, by phone and in writing
- Good analytical, numeric and people management skills
- Must be Certified EA, CPA or equivalent with active license and US PTIN
- 7+ years of experience working on US Individual taxes with signing experience and working directly with clients
- Demonstrate a very high level of proficiency in tax technical knowledge relevant to U.S. individual, trust and partnership returns; demonstrate an understanding of more complex technical issues
