1. Educational Qualification

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Diploma holders with strong experience in BOM management in manufacturing may also be considered.

2. Job Requirements & Responsibilities

• Creation and management of accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for new and existing products.
• Coordination with design, engineering, production, and procurement teams to ensure BOM accuracy and completeness.
• Update BOMs based on engineering changes (ECNs), process changes, or customer feedback.
• Analyze BOM data for cost estimation and inventory optimization.
• Maintain BOM documentation in ERP/PLM systems
• Work closely with sourcing ,Engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure BOM alignment with material availability and cost targets.
• Identify and flag obsolete or duplicated parts.
• Support product lifecycle management initiatives.
• Supporting new product development through initial BOM setup.
• Participating in cross-functional design review meetings.
• Engaging in product costing and value engineering activities
• Supporting production and supply chain in resolving BOM-related issues.
• Documentation, audits, and process improvement initiatives.
• Assisting with standardization and modularization of components

3. Years of Experience

• 5 years

  of relevant experience in BOM creation and management in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with mechanical/electro mechanical assemblies preferred.

4. Reporting

• Person would be reporting to the Engineering sectional head.
• Experience with project management would be an advantage.
