Job Description

Core Technical Skills (Required):

SQL Querying
- Basic knowledge of SQL, should able to understand DDL and DML queries
Bash & Unix Shell Scripting
- Familiarity & experience in command-line scripting skills for automating operational tasks, log parsing, and system monitoring.
- Familiarity with cron jobs, file manipulation, and process control in Unix/Linux environments.
CI/CD & Automation
- Hands-on experience with continuous integration and deployment pipelines. (good to have)
- Ability to integrate security checks and access controls into automated workflows.
Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
- Exposure to SRE principles such as observability, incident response, and service-level objectives (SLOs).
- Experience in maintaining high-availability systems and reducing toil through automation.
Platform Working knowledge of
- Operating Systems: Windows and UNIX/Linux
- Networking: Basic understanding of firewalls, DNS, and VPNs, IP address
- Web Applications: Familiarity with authentication flows and session management

Good-to-Have Skills:

Python Scripting
- Ability to write Python scripts for automation, data processing, and integration with APIs.
- Useful for building lightweight tools or enhancing existing IAM workflows.
XLR (XebiaLabs Release) or Chef Habitat
- Familiarity with release orchestration (XLR) or application automation and packaging (Chef Habitat).
- Helps in managing infrastructure as code and deploying secure, consistent environments.
Public Key Infrastructure
- Understanding of Digital certificates, x509 standards, private vs public keys
- Experience with certificate renewal and certificate renewal automation

Requirements:

Overall, 4 to 5 years of experience required, at least 1 to 2 years should be relevant
Minimum bachelor’s degree required
ITSM SLOs and volume management; reduction of work orders through RCA and problem management

Top 3 HARD Skills:

Bash and Shell scripting/chef habitat cookbooks writing
Public key infrastructure, Digital certificate implementation
Basics about SQL query
