Billing Specialist

As a Billing Specialist at the Mumbai office, your role involves timely and accurate preparation of invoices, revenue recognition, and maintaining accounting processes and controls. You will need to provide top-level customer support and possess analytical problem-solving skills. Working closely with internal and external customers, as well as other accounting team members, will be essential for effectively managing invoicing inquiries and related issues. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with various departments to accurately prepare, adjust, and verify pre-bill documents before invoicing. - Enter data accurately into systems to modify projects. - Assist Accounting in applying proper revenue recognition, validating sales tax on invoices, and maintaining other accounting controls. - Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers. - Manage multiple projects efficiently within tight timeframes. - Adapt to a dynamic environment with changing reporting needs. - Demonstrate analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to proactively resolve complex issues. - Communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with all levels of the organization and external clients to achieve objectives. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite at an advanced level. - Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, network storage, and archival technologies. - Flexibility to handle additional special projects as assigned. - Collaborate effectively as a team player and strive to add value to the position. Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Billing position and a Degree in Accounting or Finance. - Preferred experience in Project Billing and/or Project Accounting. - Previous experience in legal billing is advantageous. - Comfortable working/overlapping with North America time-zone.,
