Job Description

Role & responsibilities

developing, managing, and expanding the distribution network

Key Responsibilities

Distribution & Channel Development

  • Appoint, manage, and motivate

    distributors, dealers, and retailers

    across assigned territories.
  • Expand market reach in

    retail, institutional, HoReCa, corporate, and bulk supply segments

    .
  • Ensure optimal

    route planning and beat coverage

    for distributors and sales teams.
  • Monitor distributor stock levels to avoid shortages or excess inventory.

Sales & Target Achievement

  • Achieve

    monthly and annual sales targets

    (volume & value).
  • Implement company sales strategies to increase

    market share and brand visibility

    .
  • Track secondary sales and ensure proper product placement and visibility.

Operations & Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate with the

    plant, warehouse, and logistics teams

    for timely dispatch and delivery.
  • Ensure smooth handling of

    returnable bottles (if applicable)

    and breakage control.
  • Maintain delivery timelines and customer service standards.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, schemes, and distribution strategies.
  • Prepare and submit

    daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports

    .
  • Provide market feedback to management for product and pricing decisions.

Team Management

  • Manage and guide

    sales executives, delivery staff, and distributor salesmen

    .
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and field visits.
  • Train teams on product knowledge, selling techniques, and company policies.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure adherence to

    company policies, statutory norms, and food safety guidelines

    .
  • Maintain proper documentation related to distributors, credit limits, and agreements.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of

    FMCG / beverages distribution

  • Excellent

    negotiation and relationship management

    skills
  • Ability to manage multiple distributors and territories
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Good communication and leadership abilities

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification & Experience

  • Graduate / MBA (Sales

    & Marketing preferred)

  • 510 years of experience

    in FMCG / beverages distribution
  • Prior experience in

    packaged drinking water or beverages

    will be an added advantage
  • Must have experience handling

    NCR / Greater Noida markets

  • Sales volume and revenue growth
  • Distributor expansion and retention
  • Market coverage and outlet penetration
  • Timely deliveries and stock management
  • Team performance and productivity

Compensation

  • CTC:

    As per industry standards + performance-based incentives
