Business Development Manager Planning & Strategy (Auto Finance | Kolkata)

Location:

About the Role:

Planning & Strategy

You will be responsible for supporting strategic initiatives, driving business insights, and ensuring alignment of financing strategies with sales and OEM partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Budgeting:

  • Lead annual business planning and budgeting activities.
  • Support financial modeling for new business initiatives and functional budgets.
  • Develop actionable insights through portfolio and financial analysis.

Market Intelligence & Benchmarking:

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory updates (RBI/NBFC).
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking of products, pricing, and performance.
  • Provide insights to refine pricing models and acquisition strategies.

Business Performance & Reporting:

  • Prepare management presentations and strategic reports for senior leadership.
  • Develop and maintain executive MIS and business dashboards.
  • Track KPIs and conduct variance analysis against business plans.

Strategic Projects & Cross-Functional Execution:

  • Drive initiatives like pricing automation, product innovation, and digital finance platforms.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Risk, IT, and Operations teams for smooth project execution.
  • Monitor milestones and report progress to management.

OEM & Dealer Engagement:

  • Work closely with OEM and dealer partners to align finance strategies with sales targets.
  • Contribute to product pricing, subsidy structuring, and alignment with market needs.

Education & Experience:

  • Qualification:

    MBA / PGDM in Finance, Marketing, or Strategy preferred.
  • Experience:

    4–8 years in

    Planning & Strategy / Business Analysis / Product or Portfolio Management

    in

    Auto Finance (Used Car / New Car segment)

    .

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strategic thinking and strong execution orientation.
  • Excellent understanding of lending metrics & portfolio dynamics.
  • Advanced proficiency in

    Excel

    PowerPoint

  • Strong communication & stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
