Job Description

Job Summary : The Banquet Sales Coordinator will be a key support to the hotel's sales and catering department, focusing on maximizing banquet revenue and client satisfaction. This position involves handling administrative tasks, acting as a liaison between clients and internal departments, and ensuring the successful planning and execution of events from initial inquiry to final billing. Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming inquiries for banquet and catering events.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present detailed proposals, contracts, and event timelines.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as catering, operations, and front desk, to ensure all client requirements are met.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients leading up to and during events.
  • Update the banquet and catering sales calendar, sales reports, and CRM software accurately.
  • Assist with up-selling services and accurately forecasting revenue for banquet and group room events.
  • Handle the administrative and logistical aspects of event planning, from initial booking to post-event follow-up.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service and professional conduct at all times.

Qualifications and Skills :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in hotel sales, event planning, or a related customer service role is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office and sales/catering software (e.g., CRM).
  • A proactive, goal-oriented, and "can-do" attitude is essential for success in a sales-focused environment.
