Job Description

Job Title: Chinese Commi III

Department: Food & Beverage Production
Reports To: Demi Chef de Partie (Chinese Cuisine Section)
Location: Nasiklub, Nashik

Key Responsibilities :

  • Food Preparation: Assist senior chefs with basic food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients for Chinese dishes.
  • Cooking Assistance: Support the Chef de Partie during service by assisting with various cooking methods specific to Chinese cuisine (e.g., stir-frying, steaming, deep-frying, basic sauce preparation) as instructed.
  • Mise en Place: Prepare and organize all ingredients and equipment at the assigned station before the start of the shift to ensure a seamless service operation.
  • Quality Control: Follow standard recipes and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency and high quality of all food items served.
  • Hygiene and Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times, adhering to all local health, safety, and HACCP regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with receiving deliveries, proper storage, labeling, and stock rotation of food items to minimize waste and control costs.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate effectively with all kitchen staff, communicate clearly with supervisors, and be willing to assist in other sections of the kitchen when necessary.
  • Learning and Development: Actively participate in training sessions and seek opportunities to learn new culinary skills and advance knowledge of Chinese regional specialties.

Requirements and Skills

  • Experience: Previous experience (0-1 year) in a commercial kitchen or a similar role, preferably with exposure to Chinese cuisine, is desirable.
  • Education: A high school diploma or culinary certification from a recognized institution is preferred.
  • Culinary Knowledge: Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment (woks, steamers, fryers, etc.), and food safety protocols is essential.
  • Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, hot environment.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Hardworking, punctual, and flexible attitude.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, lift, and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds (approx. 11 kg) without assistance.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,500.00 - ₹13,000.00 per month
