Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Go (Golang), OpenTelemetry, and Langfuse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and building custom OpenTelemetry collectors, integrating with Langfuse for observability and AI monitoring, and supporting backend systems running on Kubernetes and Docker. A solid understanding of distributed systems, telemetry pipelines, and databases (Postgres) is essential. Knowledge of Databricks and Datadog is a plus. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain custom OpenTelemetry collectors to handle application and AI observability use cases. Integrate Langfuse for AI tracing, logging, and monitoring. Work with Postgres for backend data persistence and telemetry metadata storage. Build scalable backend services using Golang, ensuring reliability and performance. Deploy and manage services on Kubernetes and Docker environments. Collaborate with data teams to support integration with Databricks pipelines. Configure and optimize Datadog (or similar observability platforms) for monitoring and alerting. Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and CI/CD improvements. Troubleshoot and resolve performance, reliability, and scalability issues. Required Skills & Experience 8-10 years of backend development experience. Strong programming skills in Go (Golang). Hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry (OTel) SDKs and building custom collectors. Knowledge of Langfuse for AI observability. Experience with Postgres and database schema design. Strong understanding of Kubernetes and Docker for microservices deployment. Familiarity with distributed tracing, metrics, and logging pipelines. Nice-to-Have Skills Experience with Databricks (data pipelines, Delta Lake, MLflow). Exposure to Datadog for infrastructure monitoring and alerting. Experience with other observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK). Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). Soft Skills Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. A passion for observability, performance, and reliability.
